Being invited to a formal affair can be an honor for your part. Not only because it’s fun, but also because it can be a way for you to feel that significant. Many men of high social status love to attend formal events as it can be a way for them to socialize and meet women. However, some men fear wearing black ties when attending such events.

Black tie attire simply means that you need to look formal in order for you to be well-suited for the event. This can only mean one thing – goodbye denim jeans, hello tuxedos! Apparently, dressing up is one of men’s biggest battles in life as not all men are blessed with good fashion sense. However, the traditional concept of black tie attires can make dressing up a little easier for men.

Of course, the basic rule for formal events and black tie attires is to look as proper as possible. This means that you need to invest on a tuxedo. If it’s your first time to be in a tuxedo, you can do well with renting for a one-time event. However, you can invest on buying tuxedos instead, if you think you’ll be donning it often.

The thing with wearing black tie attires, specifically tuxedos, is that these clothes should be well-fitted to you. Keep in mind that you need to make sure the suit fits you perfectly. It should be tailored well for your body size or else you might look like a kid playing dress up with your dad’s clothes.

Along with your tuxedo, you also have to choose the right trousers and dress shirt to come up with black tie attire. Like your tuxedo jackets, your trousers and dress shirt should be fit perfectly to you. Your dress shirt should be white and must be tucked. The length of your trousers, however, should not reach the floor.

To top it all, you definitely need a black tie. Tuxedos don’t go well without regular neckties. Although there are a lot of necktie colors available, it is best to be safe and wear black instead. However, if you want to make a fashion statement, make sure that you don a necktie formal enough for the event
